  • We accept Cash, Debit, MasterCard, Visa, E-Transfer, Money Order/Bank Draft.
  • ***NOTE: If you selected VISA or MASTERCARD as your Preferred Payment Method when creating your account, your invoice balance will be charged to the credit card you registered with after the auction closes.
  • Once charged, if you want to change your payment to another method and have the charge refunded to the credit card, there will be a 3% fee to cover the cost of running your credit card.
  • If you send an e-transfer after the credit card has been charged, your e-transfer will be sent back to you. BE VERY SURE OF YOUR PAYMENT METHOD!
  • If paying by e-transfer, send to: bob@doddsauction.com.  E-transfers are auto-deposited.
  • If you want to change your Preferred Payment Method from VISA or MASTERCARD after your account was created, it has to be done on an auction to auction basis. The system is unable to make a permanent change to this. The onus will be on you to notify Dodds Auction by email (doddsauctionvernon@gmail.com) by 10 am on auction closing day for each auction going forward that you wish to change. Failure to do so and you insist on paying by a different method and having your credit card refunded, you will incur the 3% charge.
  • If you do not pick up your items by the pick up deadline and your invoice is still outstanding, your registered credit card will be charged.

PICK UP INFO

  • **WE HAVE SWITCHED TO 2 PICK UP DAYS** – MONDAY/TUESDAY POST AUCTION
  • ALL ITEMS must be picked up at Dodds – Showroom in Vernon.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure you have all the items listed on your invoice.
  • NO Pick Ups Sat/Sun – day of auction / Dodds closed on Sundays.
  • 2 PICK UP DAYS – MON/TUE (week following the auction) – 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
  • ITEMS NOT PICKED UP by 5:00 pm the Tuesday following the Auction will be considered abandoned and NO REFUNDS given.
  • You must bring the necessary help, equipment and/or boxes to load your items.  It is not our responsibility to load for you.

 

 

SHIPPING INFO

  • Shipping of Items Out of Town:   Available, at a cost.  Note:  2 separate transactions.
  • Item(s) must be paid for first (1st transaction) / Shipping Charges (2nd transaction).
  • Shipping will be via Canada Post including insurance (unless advised otherwise) at
    Canada Post’s posted rates and costs will be determined after the auction and charged to
    the credit card you registered with on Live Auction World.
  • Dodds Auction is not responsible for any damage incurred through shipping.
  • We DO NOT provide shipping quotes.
  • If you prefer to handle your own shipping, please specify this under ‘Shipping Preference’
    at time of registration.
  • If the shipment does not fall within the Canada Post restrictions (30 kg), you will need to
    arrange an alternative shipper.
  • There will be a packaging fee added to cover time/supplies.
  • NOTE: Shipping may not be feasible on some items due to size/weight. We will not ship
    dishes/glassware unless it’s a very small lot. We do not ship furniture or mirrors.

Absentee Bids – How It Works

Absentee bids accepted by calling Dodds Auction at 250-545-3259 or 1-866-545-3259 or in person before Noon, day of Auction.  We will submit your bid ‘online’ on your behalf.

*BUYERS PREMIUM: 18%* + Applicable Taxes – PST (7%) / GST (5%)  Example:  $10 Item purchase =
 $10 + $1.80 = $11.80 + 1.42 = $13.22

RETURN POLICY (LIMITED GUARANTEE) – Dodds Auction only guarantees items for mechanical or electrical malfunction. Should your item not work due to one of those reasons, you have until 5 pm the Wednesday following the auction to return it. Items sold AS IS or INOPERABLE are non-refundable. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS – It is your responsibility to read the Terms & Conditions & other info to understand how the auction works. REMINDER that if you select Visa or Mastercard as your Preferred Payment Method, your card will be charged after the auction closes. 

Also, bids should be made based on the description of the lot not necessarily on the picture.  Due to placement, at times items can be shown that do not belong to that lot.  If you need clarification, please call us prior to bidding.
