PAYMENT INFO

  • *PAYMENT REQUIRED BY 4:00 PM THE TUESDAY FOLLOWING THE AUCTION.*  
  • *** NEW *** We no longer send invoices post auction (auction processed).  Invoices are available through your live auction world account once the auction has closed and been processed.  If necessary, refer to either Dodds website or live auction world for link on ‘How to Access Your Invoice’.
  • We accept Cash, Debit, MasterCard, Visa, E-Transfer, Money Order/Bank Draft.
  • If you select Visa or Mastercard as your Preferred Payment Method, your registered credit card will be charged after the auction closes if total amount owing is <$1,000.
  • *** NEW *** Only Invoices that have a total of $1,000+ will now incur a Credit Card Convenience Fee of 3%.  As well, we will no longer automatically process credit cards on invoices $1,000+.  Payment must be done in person or provide authorization by email or telephone.
  • DO NOT PHONE OR LEAVE PHONE MESSAGES on the weekend as the office is closed. 
  • If ‘alternate’ payment method is chosen at time of registering, please ensure items are paid for by 4 pm the Tuesday following the auction.
  • If paying by e-transfer, send e-transfer to: bob@doddsauction.com.
  • If you send an e-transfer after the credit card has been charged, your e-transfer will be sent back to you. BE VERY SURE OF YOUR PAYMENT METHOD!
  • If you do not pick up your items by the deadline and your invoice is still outstanding, your credit card will be charged (including Convenience Fee, if applicable) as this is a contractual agreement you, the bidder, agree to when registering in our auction.

PICK UP INFO

  • **WE HAVE SWITCHED TO 2 PICK UP DAYS** – MONDAY/TUESDAY POST AUCTION
    ALL ITEMS must be picked up at Dodds – Showroom in Vernon.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure you have all the items listed on your invoice.
  • NO Pick Ups Saturday/Sunday.  Dodds only open from 8 am – Noon on Saturday if an auction date.  Otherwise, closed Weekends.
  • 2 PICK UP DAYS – MON/TUE (JUN 1/2) – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm 
  • Items NOT picked up by 4 pm Tuesday, June 2, are considered abandoned & No Refund Given.
  • Please make sure you bring your own boxes/help to disassemble/load and any tools/loading equipment (if necessary).
    Further, while we have provided this service for years, due to staffing shortages, etc., we no longer can continue to carry & load your items.  Please help us out by bringing people to help you.

  • Shipping of Items Out of Town:   Available, at a cost.  Note:  2 separate transactions.
  • Item(s) must be paid for first (1st transaction) / Shipping Charges (2nd transaction).
  • Shipping will be via Canada Post including insurance (unless advised otherwise) at
    Canada Post’s posted rates and costs will be determined after the auction and charged to
    the credit card you registered with on Live Auction World.
  • Dodds Auction is not responsible for any damage incurred through shipping.
  • We DO NOT provide shipping quotes.
  • If you prefer to handle your own shipping, please specify this under ‘Shipping Preference’
    at time of registration.
  • If the shipment does not fall within the Canada Post restrictions (30 kg), you will need to
    arrange an alternative shipper.
  • NOTE: Shipping may not be feasible on some items due to size/weight. We will not ship
    dishes/glassware unless it’s a very small lot. We do not ship furniture or mirrors.

  2. You will get an email.  OPEN & follow instructions to confirm registration.
  3. You can now Register/Bid.
  4. Remember to make note of your Username, Password & email address as only YOU know this information.

Absentee Bids – How It Works

Absentee bids accepted by calling Dodds Auction at 250-545-3259 or 1-866-545-3259 or in person before 4:00 pm, Friday, May 29. We will submit your bid ‘online’ on your behalf.

Special Notes

*BUYERS PREMIUM: 18%* + Applicable Taxes – PST (7%) / GST (5%)  Example:  $10 Item purchase =
 $10 + $1.80 = $11.80 + 1.42 = $13.22

RETURN POLICY (LIMITED GUARANTEE) – Dodds Auction only guarantees items for mechanical or electrical malfunction.  Should your item not work due to one of those reasons, you have until 4 pm, Wednesday, June 2, to return it.  Items sold AS IS or INOPERABLE are non-refundable. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS – It is your responsibility to read the Terms & Conditions & other info to understand how the auction works. REMINDER that if you select Visa or Mastercard as your Preferred Payment Method, your registered credit card will be charged after the auction closes if total amount owing is <$1,000. Also, bids should be made based on the description of the lot not necessarily on the picture.  Due to placement, at times items can be shown that do not belong to that lot.  If you need clarification, please call us prior to bidding.
