We perform many duties in the course of selling your property: we advertise in newspapers and on the radio, we maintain fax, phone and e-mail lists of special buyers. We also take special care in setting up the merchandise for advance viewing, register bidders and co-ordinate absentee bids. While the Auctioneer calls the bids, the office staff constantly manages the sale paperwork and data entry, checks out the customers and collects payments.

We sell quality merchandise in our auctions so if you want top dollar for your items please ensure your items are cleaned and in good working order and has all the parts available.  We take care of the rest.  You can consign your items to be sold at auction for a % fee, or you can ask us about a buy out of your items.

Evaluation of your items

Evaluation Requests may be made at any time, by appointment, if you need some idea of the Market Value of your property. We will send a member of our staff to your location, usually at no cost, and they will then give you an estimate of what you could expect to earn at an auction. They can also give you a buy out figure.

Best times to bring in your items

Bring your items in yourself on Mondays, Thursdays, & Fridays from 8:30 to 4:30 and on Saturdays from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Our goal is to advertise all major items in the sale and we are limited by We cannot advertise anything that we do not have on site.

Pick up Service

Yes, we offer a pick up service.  Our crew will pick up items on Thursdays & Fridays.  Please call the office to arrange for your items to be picked up. The pick up fee is $80.00 per hour (plus GST) in town including travel times.  An additional fuel surcharge will be charged for out of town pick ups.  The cost can be deducted from the sale proceeds.

Viewing Times

Weekly Auction Wednesdays – Viewing starts at 8:30 a.m. to  6:pm (start of sale).   Out of town customers may request an opportunity to view on Tuesday afternoons.

Special Auctions – Check with us regarding viewing times.  These times are also posted on our web page before the date of sale.

Cleanup, Packing and Transport services

We liquidate entire Estates and offer a large range of services for family, executors and trustees. Dodds Auction can provide packing services as well as transport (fees applicable).   Our professional staff will assist you with all your needs.
